Welcome

NorthWest Trading Post is located in the Northern US, Western Pennsylvania and we do love to trade. We like to trade ideas, recipes, and stories.ᅡᅠ We also like to promote friends and their handicrafts, including our own artwork.

As you know, we are continuing to get the new Web site totally up and running - though never complete because we hope it will be a resource center for you and your family.

Stories, Poems, Images - contributions to a new life.

My Mother-in-law always thought that Jimmy Carter had a very special idea when he promoted Habitat for Humanity. We agree. For that reason, we have selected Habitat for Humanity to receive 10% of our profits from the sale of items in our nwtradingpost store. We invite you to look at our art, our humor, and share our good intentions.

For February, we also invite you to submit a story, poem, or image you would like to share. The theme is always centered on home and family - with an emphasis on success. The stories should not exceed 500 words, poems should not exceed 30 lines, and images should be 300 dpi, rgb, 300 pixels wide. Submissions should be made by email to support@northwesttradingpost.com. There are no independent judges, just us chickens. One item from each category will be selected as our favorite and the winner in each category will receive a coffee mug and have their item featured for a month. You must include your name, address including zip code, and your phone number to be considered. To be considered for the upcoming month, items must be received by the 25th of each month. By submitting, you are agreeing that the work you submit is your original work and that you are giving permission to NorthWest Trading Post to publish this work on the NorthWest Trading Post Web site. No work will be resold by NorthWest Trading Post. All work will remain the property of the creator. We reserve the right to correct spelling and punctuation. NO submission will be accepted that is not family friendly.
